Martelle, located in southwest Jones County, was platted in 1872 when the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad was built across Jones County.
Today, Martelle is home to more than 250 residents and remains a vibrant small town with many local events and a lot of hometown pride.
